Try to avoid the classic cliche of keeping all the action planetside too, that's a rookie mistake. Space is huge and careful consideration needs to be made about what parts of space your going to include. Space obviously, but where? This is the most important part of any well written space opera. Listen Danny, throw out everything you thought you knew about space operas and prepare to get mindfucked with some knowledge.
